  • Personal Identification and proper forms for Firearm Importation

  • Warm, layered clothing to allow versatility

  • Thermal underwear

  • Gloves

  • Rain suit

  • Warm, waterproof hunting boots, already broken in

  • Hip waders for the Moose Float Trip

  • Light comfortable footwear for use around camp

  • Toque, or stocking cap, great for sleeping

  • Personal toiletries (Baby Wipes work great to clean up)

  • Sleeping bag, Medium to Heavy weight

  • Small personal first aid kit

  • Safety harness for use in tree stands

  • Day pack

  • Binoculars, and/or Range finder

  • Sharp knife, do not pack this in your carry-on bag

  • Lighter, do not pack this in your carry-on bag

  • Compass, GPS if you have one

  • Flashlight with extra batteries

  • Small thermos or canteen

Recommended weapons - Rifle of .30 caliber or larger that is reliable and that you can shoot well, along with 50 rounds of ammunition

 

Bowhunters should have one dozen arrows with broadheads, tuned to hunt; Broadheads must have a minimum cutting diameter of 7/8" (21 mm).

It's a good idea to have an extra bow string with you, and a method to install it on your bow. Do not let a broken or cut bowstring ruin your hunt !
